COVID-19 and Visa Information

In France

The Government of France has instituted requirements for entry into France due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To access up-to-date information on travel and entry requirements, visit the French Government’s webpage providing Advice to Foreign Nationals in France. These requirements are subject to change at any time, so you are encouraged to refer to this website regularly to determine if requirements have changed.

Participants attending the 6th Global Forum in person will be required to obtain a Pass Sanitaire (health pass) in order to enter the conference venue. Click here for information about the Pass Sanitaire for those traveling to France (please note that this page is in French, most browsers offer the option to translate webpages to other languages). This information is also subject to change.

Returning home

Many countries have implemented testing or other requirements for passengers arriving on international flights. Please be aware of any requirements implemented by your country to board return flights and re-enter the country on your return. Antigen testing is available at the Toulouse Airport with results in 30 minutes (appointments should be booked in advance). Click here for more information. If your home country requires a negative PCR test, the staff at the Global Forum information desk can help you identify a convenient testing center.

Please be aware that if you test positive for COVID-19 while in France, any medical costs, costs associated with quarantine and extending your stay in France, or any other costs are your responsibility. You are advised to have travel or other insurance coverage that will cover these costs should they be necessary.

Participants from certain countries may require a visa to enter France. Utilize the Visa Wizard provided by the French Government to determine if you need a visa.

Click here to access the Visa Wizard.

Note, in the “Your Plans” field, enter “Business” and in the Main Purpose of Stay, enter “Cultural, artistic, scientific and sports events, including one-off assignments”

The Visa Wizard will inform you if you require a visa, the documents you will need to submit to support your visa application, and the associated fee.

For more information on applying for a visa, visit the resources below:

Timelines for visa processing vary by country (see the “Country specific information” link above for information related to your country). It is your responsibility to submit a complete application with sufficient time for processing. No refunds will be provided for failure to obtain a visa due to a late, incomplete or incorrect application.

You can request an invitation letter during the registration process. You are encouraged to determine your visa requirements prior to registration. If you determine that you need an invitation letter after you have already completed your registration, please contact

Letters of invitation will only be provided to participants who have registered and fully paid their registration fees.

The letter of invitation is only for facilitating your visa application and to demonstrate the purpose of travel should your organization require it; it should not be considered as an invitation to cover fees or any expenses, nor is it a guarantee that the visa will be granted.
