Definitions and Acceptance of Terms of Use

The 6th Global Forum on TB Vaccines (the “6th Global Forum” or “Conference”) will be held from 22-25 February 2022. The 6th Global Forum has shifted from a hybrid event to a fully virtual event due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The 6th Global Forum is organized by the Stop TB Partnership Working Group on New TB Vaccines in collaboration with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, the TuBerculosis Vaccine Initiative, Institut de Pharmacologie et de Biologie Structurale (CNRS-Université Toulouse III), and Université Fédérale de Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées (together, the “Organizers”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are used in conjunction with the Code of Conduct and 6th Global Forum Privacy Policy ("Policies").

These Terms and Policies shall apply to all 6th Global Forum participants (“participant”, “you”, “your”), regardless of registration type, although some sections may apply only to specific registration types. Registration for the 6th Global Forum implies the acceptance of these Terms and Policies, which apply from the time of registration until the closure of the Conference virtual platform and conclusion of activities related to the 6th Global Forum. If you are registering on behalf of another person, you are obligated to inform the person about these Terms and Policies; submission of the registration form indicates their knowledge and acceptance of these Terms and Policies. The Organizers will revoke access to the Conference for any inappropriate conduct or breach of these Terms or Policies.

Participants must be 18 years or older to register for the Global Forum and agree to these Terms and Policies.

These Terms and Policies may be amended from time to time and the details of such amendments shall be published on the relevant pages of the 6th Global Forum website and become effective as from the time of their posting.

6th Global Forum Registration and Payment
  • Registration for the 6th Global Forum is managed by Insight-Outside, the Professional Conference Organizer (PCO) engaged by the Organizers. Click here to view their privacy policy.
  • Registration details must be submitted electronically via the online registration platform manage by Insight-Outside. Only fully completed registration forms submitted via the online registration system will be accepted.
  • Registration will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment in full.
  • The Organizers reserve the right to cancel without warning any registrations that are not paid in full within 21 days of submitting the registration form or 20 February 2022, whichever is earlier. The Organizers disclaim any responsibility or liability for any such cancellation and no claims for compensation can be lodged against the Organizers for such cancellation.
  • If a registration is cancelled due to non-payment, re-registration will be required to participate in the 6th Global Forum. The registration rate applicable at the time of re-registration will apply.
  • Credentials to access the virtual platform will not be issued unless the registration payment has been received in full.

Methods of Payment

  • Registration payments for the 6th Global Forum are received and processed by Insight-Outside.
  • Registration is not confirmed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
  • Payments must be made in Euros using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or by bank transfer.
  • Participants are responsible for any fees associated with the registration payment, including any wire transfer fees and international transaction fees.


As required by law, a 10% Value Added Tax (VAT) is applicable to all registrations. VAT is not included in the registration fee and will be charged to the participant during the registration process.

Discounted Registrations

Discounted registration rates are offered to students and to participants from lower- and middle-income countries (LIC/MIC). All discounted registrations are subject to verification.

Student Registrations

  • To be eligible to register at the discounted student rate, the participant must submit proof of full-time or part-time enrollment at a recognized university or college that will be valid at the time of the conference.
  • Proof of enrollment must be submitted at the time of registration. If such proof is not received, the registration may be cancelled, or a higher rate may apply. The Organizers disclaim any responsibility or liability for any such cancellation and no claims for compensation can be lodged against the Organizers for such cancellation.

Lower-Income Country and Middle-Income Country (LIC/MIC) Registrations

  • LIC/MIC countries include those with low-income economies, lower-middle income economies, and upper-middle income economies as classified by the World Bank.
  • The reduced LIC/MIC rate is available for participants who are living and working in LIC/MIC countries.
  • The regular registration rate applies to participants from LIC/MIC countries who are living and working in a high-income country.
Cancellation, refund, and registration transfer policy

In-Person Participation

  • Individuals who registered for in-person participation may cancel their registration until 21 January 2022 and receive a refund of the registration fee less a 25% administrative fee.
  • After 21 January 2022, registrations for in-person participation tht have not been cancelled will automatically transfer to virtual participation and the difference in registration fees will be refunded.

  • Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment that was used to pay the registration fee. Refunds may take up to two weeks to be processed.

Virtual Participation

Virtual participation registration fees are non-refundable. All content will be available to view on-demand for up to three (3) months after the 6th Global Forum.

Registration Transfers

  • Registrations may be transferred to another participant in the same registration category (regular, LIC/MIC, student) at no cost.
  • Registrations may be transferred to a participant in a higher registration cost category, however the difference in registration rates will apply.
  • No refunds will be provided for registrations transferred to participants in a lower cost category.
  • Requests for transfer of registration must be submitted in writing to, and include the registered participant’s name and email address and the name and email address of the participant to whom the registration is being transferred.
  • The deadline for requesting a transfer of registration is 6 February 2022.
  • The virtual platform is provided by Key4Events.
  • Access to the virtual platform is included with both in-person and virtual participation.
  • Credentials to access the virtual platform will be sent in advance of the Conference to participants who have paid their registration fees in full. Credentials will not be provided to participants who have not paid the registration fee.
  • Registration access details are for the individual participant. Registration may be transferred to another individual under the above Registration Transfer Policy (above), but access details may not be shared with non-registered participants.
  • You are responsible for keeping your access details confidential and your device secure.
  • Access to the virtual platform requires the use of your computer or mobile device, as well as communications with or use of space on such devices. You are responsible for any internet connection or mobile/data fees and charges that you incur while accessing the 6th Global Forum on the virtual platform.
  • By registering for the 6th Global Forum, you agree to the conference platform end-user license agreement and privacy policy, and you agree to use the virtual platform in accordance with the agreement and as set out in the instructions provided.
  • The 6th Global Forum will be broadcast online and will be recorded by the Organizers.
  • Recorded sessions will be made available on-demand to registered participants for three (3) months following the Conference. Certain sessions may be made available online to the general public.
  • You may not share your access to recorded sessions with persons who did not register for the 6th Global Forum.
  • Aspects of your participation in the event, including but not limited to your image, voice, and writings, even if you are not a presenter, may be included in these broadcasts or recordings.
  • By participating in the 6th Global Forum, you give your permission to be photographed or videoed and for the Organizers to have full and free use of video recordings, audio recordings, and photographs containing your image, voice or likeness in any and all media, now known or hereafter created without any compensation to you. Images, photographs, and audio and video recordings could be reproduced for subsequent use in the media, webcasts, or for promotional purposes, advertising and inclusion on websites and social media.
  • The Organizers, speakers, and sponsors retain the copyright and intellectual property rights on their respective information, documents, files, presentations, and other content shared during the event.
  • You may not copy, retransmit, record, photograph, or store event content unless expressly permitted. Content may be used for reporting purposes in alignment with the conference media and social media policies.
  • Any views, advice, information, data, or items provided by speakers, participants, or sponsors are their own opinions or items and are not necessarily supported, approved, or authorized by the Organizers.
  • The Organizers cannot accept any liability for views, advice, information, data, or items provided by speakers, participants, or sponsors at the event, or in any material provided to the participants in any way.

  • By registering for the 6th Global Forum and submitting your email address and other information during the registration process, you agree to the Privacy Policy and that the Organizers may:
    • Send you information by email related to your participation in the 6th Global Forum, such as event logistics, information on how to access content, program updates, and payment information as applicable; and respond to your questions about the Conference and provide registration and support services.
    • Disclose your personal data to authorized third party service providers engaged by the Organizers to assist in the conduct of the 6th Global Forum (e.g., the virtual platform provider, the local PCO, email communication provider, and other suppliers who will be providing necessary services), who may also contact you by email in relation to your participation in the 6th Global Forum.
    • If you consent, your personal information and information you share during the registration process may be used for the additional purposes you agree to, such as inclusion in the online participant list, networking features, and sharing your information with 6th Global Forum sponsors.

Modification to Program or Cancellation of the 6th Global Forum
  • The Organizers reserve the right to modify the 6th Global Forum program, speakers, and timings, which are published as an indication only.
  • The Organizers reserved the right to cancel the in-person component of the 6th Global Forum, and this right has been exercised. All in-person participation registrations will be converted to virtual participation registrations, unless the participant requests to cancel their participation in writing by 21 January 2022 as noted above, and participants who registered for the in-person component will receive a refund for the difference between the in-person and virtual registration fee.
  • In the event that the 6th Global Forum cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the Organizers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the Organizers, the Organizers cannot be held liable by participants for any damages, costs, or financial losses incurred. Under these circumstances, the Organizers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration fee and to use it for a future conference, or to reimburse the participant after deducting costs already incurred for the organization of the Conference and which could not be recovered from third parties.
  • You warrant that you shall not, by any act or omission, cause the Organizers to be in breach of their agreements with any of their third-party providers in relation to the Conference.
  • All conditions, representations, and warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed by the Organizers to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • Oral agreements shall not be binding if these have not been confirmed in writing by the Organizers.

Virtual Platform

  • The virtual platform is delivered over the internet, and accordingly, is subject to limitations, delays, and other problems inherent in the use of the internet and electronic communications. The Organizers shall not be responsible for any delays, delivery failures, viruses, hacker intrusions or other damage resulting from such problems.
  • The Organizers make no representation, warranty, or guarantee as to the reliability, timeliness, quality, suitability, truth, availability, accuracy or completeness of the virtual platform.
  • The Organizers do not represent or warrant that:

(a) the use of the virtual platform will be secure, uninterrupted or error free; or

(b) the virtual platform or the servers that make the services available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizers shall not be liable or responsible for any actual or alleged indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages of any kind, loss of profits and/or loss of data arising from and in connection with participation in the 6th Global Forum. The Organizers’ liability for loss shall be limited to a claim for direct damages; the maximum aggregate liability will be the registration fee paid by the Participant for the Conference. The liability of commissioned service providers shall remain unaffected by this.

This contract is subject to the laws of New York, United States. In the event of any legal claims arising from either party the Courts located in the State of New York shall be the sole courts of jurisdiction.


If any part of these Terms is to any extent illegal, invalid, or incapable of being enforced, such parts shall be excluded to the extent of such invalidity or unenforceability. All other terms shall remain in effect and, to the extent permitted and possible, the invalid or unenforceable term shall be deemed replaced by a term that is valid and enforceable and that comes closest to expressing the intention of such invalid or unenforceable term
